I just watched this last night. It's interesting to see a genre like horror without the Hollywood style and pacing, and without any comedy. Plus it was very atmospheric.
There are still a few things I didn't understand really. I think the creepiest part, to me, was that the old dude helping Eli out for the first half of the film was likely Oskar's age when they met.
So Oskar can look forward to a life of doing murder until he can't any more, at which point he gives himself up to Eli.
